Minoru Arena

Located in the heart of Richmond, Minoru Arenas has two NHL regulation-size rinks and offers skating lessons, public ice skates and other ice activities from September through April. Dry floors are available from April to August each year for lacrosse, ball hockey, roller hockey and special event rentals.

Facility amenities include eight dressing rooms, a meeting room, the Time Out Cafe, and skate and helmet rentals. The Stadium Rink offers spectator seating for 2,000 and the facility is wheelchair accessible. Minoru Arenas is home to the Junior “B” Richmond Sockeyes of the Pacific Junior Hockey League. The Connaught Figure Skating Club and Richmond Lacrosse Association use the Minoru Arenas as their home rinks.

The Sockeyes have a dedicated dressing room equipped to the highest standards. The facility also houses the Sockeyes Coaching/GM office and the Sockeyes store.

Minoru Arena has played host to many large events including the CARHA Hockey World Cup 2020, ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating 2018 & 2020, the Cyclone Taylor Cup (Jr B Provincials) 2018, Terminal City Roller Girls SummerSlam 2012-2015, the Super Series Skate Canada BC.YK Sectionals 2013, Canadian National Karate Championship 2007, World Badminton Championship 2004, and the Richmond Rockets Speed Skating Team Trials along with multiple movies and many other provincial events.
